San Tan Valley Community Overview

San Tan Valley Arizona is the big unincorporated area that sits between the town limits of Queen Creek & Florence Arizona.

San Tan Valley is almost solely responsible for making Pinal County the second fastest growing county in the U.S.

Current population estimates of San Tan Valley are somewhere between 80,000 – 90,000 which makes it Pinal County’s most populated area.

Before being called San Tan Valley, the area was known by a collection of neighborhood names. This made it difficult for the area to communicate about itself to businesses and home buyers. The name establishment of San Tan Valley came about largely to address the demand to give the area some identity and name recognition to make it more marketable to businesses and help drive in higher wage employment opportunities. Zip code additions have been implemented across the board to accommodate the growth.

San Tan Valley is not incorporated . . . the area is still considered unincorporated Pinal County. Talks continue to be underway to try and incorporate the area. Time will tell if this is a successful venture. (Update on this issue — April 2018.)
