The recession has played havoc with many small businesses in Arizona. Gyms and fitness studios have been particularly hurt and many facilities have closed as fitness costs have been removed from the budgets of many families.
While Peralta Fitness in Gold Canyon Arizona never closed their doors entirely they experienced an extreme downturn when clients were able to keep fitness fees in their budgets. Owners Thomas and Mary Lynn Priess had to take added jobs at an area Applebees to supplement their own incomes and keep their own roof over their heads.
With some of the other big box gym facilities in the Gold Canyon Arizona area closing entirely, Peralta Fitness has re-ramped themselves back up and is offering lower cost intro fitness packages in an effort to bolster client’s participation and bring health and fitness to more people.
