Economic times are tough and here is something to help bring free entertainment to your family – Culture Pass. From April 1, 2009 until April 1, 2010 library cardholders in the greater Phoenix area can check out a “culture pass” for FREE admission that is good for up to four people at participating area arts and cultural institutions. The participating libraries are Chandler Public Library, Glendale Public Library, Mesa Public Library, Phoenix Public Library, Scottsdale Public Library and the Tempe Public Library.
The cultural attractions where one can get a free pass for include: Arizona Museum for Youth, Arizona Museum of Natural History, Arizona Science Center, The bead Museum, Cave Creek Museum, Children’s Museum of Phoenix, Desert Botanical Garden, Heard Museum, Mesa Contemporary Arts, Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix Zoo, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Taliesin West.
There are a limited number of passes for each of these cultural locations available. It is first come, first served. One cultural pass can be checked out per adult person with a valid library card per loan period and the pass is good for seven days only. Other restrictions may apply.
