It you are interested in Arizona’s desert wildlife you will want to check out the Arizona Watchable Wildlife Tourism Association (AWWTA). The goal of this group is to make finding watching opportunities for Arizona’s unique wildlife easier for the public to find and enjoy. The group is also focused on educating local residents and governments about the importance and benefits of maintaining habitat for Arizona’s wildlife. They have recently launched a new website that is interesting to check out.
These viewing experiences are found in a variety of habitats throughout the state. From the ponderosa pine forests to the Sonoran Desert floors, Arizona is filled with wildlife – including Gila monsters, hummingbirds, bighorn sheep and much more. From the high mountain peaks to the low grasslands, Arizona offers breathtaking vistas including lakes, vast canyons, and winding rivers.
