Back in October we posted information on our blog about the vandalism that was going on in foreclosed homes across the Phoenix Valley. Since then the problem is still happening.
As Realtors, many foreclosed houses we show buyers have the appliances removed, counter-tops removed, some have cabinets, mirrors, ceiling fans and lights, door knobs and anything and everything else taken away that can be removed.
Property values go down when this occurs hurting both the home where the vandalism occurred, as well as the entire neighborhood.
In this week’s New Time’s Phoenix News Blog we ran across a post, complete with photos of one homeowner apparently caught in the act of removing all sorts of items. In case you are interested in seeing the photos of this all caught on a camera, visit that site while they have the photos up.
We all need to be watchful of this type of thing going on and report it when we see it happening. Reporting these type of activities to the proper law authorities can help keep neighborhood values from going down unnecessarily because of this type of vandalism.
