Safety and pool barriers are key in preventing drowning of children in swimming pools. As they have in past years, SRP, the Phoenix Firefighters Association and Valley of the Sun United Way have come together to support the Adopt-a-Pool-Fence Program. This program has been going on since at least 2001 and has offered a way for safe pool fences to be installed for hundreds of Arizona Valley families who otherwise could not afford to buy a pool fence themselves. If you live in the Phoenix Arizona area, have a pool and no pool fence, check out the Adopt-a-Pool-Fence Program’s website at http://www.saverkids.org to see if you qualify for a free fence.
